All the Memories

All the Memories


I remember all the golden times of our youth
I can still recall all of our memories
The day lives were so fantastic
Filled with the joy of many things, can you remember them:


Movies:

There were fantastic movies
Who actually had a story to follow
And that story held us for many nights to come
And all of them were truly able to make you cry like a baby

Do you remember their names
The names we mentioned the next day we saw each other
Because I know them and I know a movie that made us both cry
Have you forgotten this movie: “All Dogs Go To Heaven” a movie so wonderful and sad

Music:

Oh the music
Melodies that are hard to forget
And every now and then I listen to them
Remembering all the emotions we felt back then

Singing our favorite songs all day long
We couldn’t stop doing so no matter how irritating it was
But every moment was priceless and the memories of one song never fade
Can you sing it to me, sing me: “Sting – Shape of my Heart”, because I know I can sing it to you

Cartoons:

The animations
For which we woke up early every Sunday morning
Watching them and knowing that when we see each other we will talk about them
Also that we would play and pretend to be one of the heroes

I still remember the names of my favorite cartoons
Way too many to be said in one conversation
But there was one that was favorite by both of us and I still watch it though
Do you know for which one I am talking about, I am talking about: “Beast Wars”

TV Serials and Shows:

The television a friend and a foe at the same time
A friend when the adults weren’t watching anything and we watched: “Fox Kids”
And a foe in cold days when the adults watched: “The Bold and the Beautiful”
But no matter what was on the serials were a part of our day time

Oh and I forgot about the shows
There were so many back there that we used to watch
And after that we went to create a similar as: “Risk Wins – Risk Losses”
Although it didn’t turn out to be as good as the real thing we did have fun

Play time:

I remember all the games we played when we were young
All night long playing “Hide and Seek” or chasing after “Fireflies”
We stayed up late and it wasn’t dangerous to do so
Not like in our times now

And when it was day we had so many things to do
Like to “Ride our Bikes” play “Doge Ball”
To go out in the hottest hours of the day and don’t care
To play with the dogs and cats, the times were great

Reality:

But now nothing is the same
We all have scattered and rarely see each other
Work has taken all or free time
And deadlines hang our back and we must follow them

We hang on to the past and we like to have it back
But nothing can take us to that sacred place of childhood memories
Now they only rest inside our heads and hearts
But no matter how much time passes we will still be friends nothing can change that

We will ever remember the games, friendships and brotherhoods we made
One day I hope the new generation to have what we had
But I fear for the worst as for what I am seeing now things don’t look good for them
They will never know what it was like to be with friends outside under the warm light of the sun

So that is why I remember all of this, so I can tell it to the new generation
For them to know a little of what was like to be young and truly have fun
Also I remember all of this for one simple reason
To be able to tell you this when we meet each other again my dear friend!
